Ellsworth Web Design Services

About "Ellsworth"

Ellsworth Website Design Services was created and is maintained by me, Paul Ellsworth. I am currently a college student at The Master's College, pursuing a double major; that is, two separate bachelor degrees: A Bachelors of Music in Theory/Composition, and a Bachelors of Science in Computer and Information Systems.

I started working with computers at a fairly young age, although I spent most of my time playing those great old DOS computer games like The Secret of Monkey Island, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Loom, Skunny, Commander Keen, etc. When we actually got a dialup connection to the internet, I began to be interested in website. I created my first website around the age of 12... and it's been all uphill from there, to be sure. I have since done sites mostly for my own personal use, and some for my family and my church; I also have done some freelance programming, mostly CGI (PERL) and PHP. However, designing for others, especially local companies, has always been an interest of mine; and people tend to like dealing with a nice, friendly guy rather than a corporate web design company. Sort of a "Mom and Pop" shop kind of thing... except, I'm a college student who will never be a mom, and is not planning on being a dad terribly soon!

Other Interests

Besides computers, I love music... which is why I am majoring in it! I am a classical music guy, although I enjoy many other styles as well, like early jazz or even contemporary rock, if it is well done, I began composing in the middle of my teen years, I am not entirely sure why I was drawn to it. Since then, it's been growing on me, to the point that now I would like to make it my career, if possible. I am a born-again Christian, and I love being able to use my musical gifts in my church, especially in composing new works for various uses (offertories, choir, arrangements for special occasions, etc).

I also enjoy reading, very much. Lord of the Rings (including The Silmarillion, The Unfinished Tales of Numenor, The Adventures of Tom Bombadil, and others...) by Tolkien, The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis, various books by George MacDonald, the Horatio Hornblower series by C.S. Forester, the Sherlock Holmes cases by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle... just to mention a few!

Perhaps this small biographical entry will make you more comfortable in dealing with me, having gotten to know me a bit. I hope it does!
